Reintroduction of the Mustang Boss® 302

2012 Mustang Boss® 302It has been 42 years since Ford created the Mustang Boss® 302 and it is finally being reintroduced for the 2012 model year.  The Mustang Boss® 302 has its roots in racing since it was built for the Trans Am racing series in 1969 and 1970.  The all new Mustang Boss® 302 has a Hi-Po 302 4V Ti-VCT V8 engine that delivers 7,500 rpm and 440 horsepower, an increase in 28 horsepower from the 2011 Mustang GT.  The Mustang Boss® 302 comes with Brembo™ brakes, specifically designed to control this kind of power.  This Mustang is also equipped with adjustable front and rear shocks for drivers that want to take it to the racetracks and adjust the suspension.

Ford is also creating the Mustang Boss® 302 Laguna Seca Package which has:

    2012 Mustang Boss® 302 Engine
  • A front air splitter (for race track only- illegal for on-street driving)
  • Rear pedestal spoiler
  • Standard Torsen differential and Recaro® seats
  • Race-compound tires
  • Three-gauge package to monitor performance statistics
  • A stabilizer brace for  increased torsional rigidity
